The Hygienically Clean certification consists of an independent, third-party verifying body whose goal is to validate the soundness, safety, compliance, and hygienic quality of a laundry facility.
The Hygienically Clean test and certification is more than checking boxes. It covers multiple categories and areas of concern in commercial laundry services, including:
Microbial Testing
A three-round process takes processed linens from the laundry facility to test for the presence of pathogens like yeast, mold, and disease-causing bacteria.
Consistency in Results

What Does This Mean for Your Patients?

HandCraft Linen Services wash linens at a minimum temperature of 140 degrees for at least 25½ minutes. Our chemicals meet CDC guidelines for healthcare laundry and are 99.9% effective at reducing pathogens known to cause HAIs. Our wash process finishes with four rinse cycles to remove detergents from the linen. We monitor our chemistry several times a day with the goal of having a skin-neutral pH.
