Our Story
HandCraft is a family owned and operated business that places our clients’ experience above all else.
Dedicated to always going the extra mile, one client at a time, John A. Nichols founded HandCraft in 1969. Today, John’s sons Jay, Keith, and Jeff, along with six third-generation family members, own and operate the business, upholding our company values of integrity, respect, compassion, drive, and responsibility.
Our business is environmentally conscious and community-oriented. Clients appreciate the high-tech, soft-touch approach we take in providing safe, hygienic products that serve their patients and staff with reduced environmental impact. In addition to implementing green initiatives that lead the industry, we support our communities, health systems, and numerous charities every year.

Serving 170+ hospitals and 2,000+ non-acute medical practices, we process more than 140 million+ pounds of linen annually, using 400,000 sq. ft. of high-efficiency plant space.
Our Standards
HandCraft Linen Services is proud to hold TRSA’s Hygienically Clean Healthcare Certification.
Our laundry services pass three rounds of outcome-based microbial testing, indicating that their processes are producing hygienically clean healthcare linen and garments and negligible presence of harmful bacteria. To maintain certification, laundry plants must pass quarterly testing by third-party inspection to ensure that as laundry conditions change, such as water quality, textile fabric composition, and wash chemistry, the laundered product quality is consistently maintained.
